Your East Dallas Coffeehouse

East Dallas Middle Ground isn’t just a coffee shop. We’re a celebration of the neighborhoods, people, and personality of East Dallas.

From our quirky patio, to the vintage 1948 coffee shop sign, to the murals, and use of only local vendors, our guests know they can always find a great drink and a big dose of community within our walls.

We love to meet our neighbors, hear your stories, cheer you on, and share what makes East Dallas so special.

Make Yourself Comfortable

Our space is huge! Alongside our custom bar, you’ll find plenty of seating (and outlets) to relax or work. Get cozy on one of our couches or take advantage of our kid-friendly room while you catch up with a friend. Looking for a space of your own? Book one of our private work rooms for conference calls, team meetings, tutoring sessions, or group project meetups.

After closing, we will have community workshops led by local artisans and experts. Keep an eye out on our social media for offerings!

Have an upcoming event? Our space is available for local groups and organizations to rent—or if you’d like East Dallas Middle Ground to come to you, you can hire our mobile coffee cart to cater. Contact us for more information.

Our Coffee

We are working exclusively with Oak Cliff Coffee Roasters located in the Oak Cliff neighborhood of Dallas. After meeting with several roasters, it became abundantly clear that the knowledge, care, and trust that comes alongside working with the OCCR team was exactly what we were looking for. As long time leaders in Dallas coffee, OCCR has been vital in the development of EDMG. Not to mention, their coffee is delicious!

Our Community

Community is at the heart of East Dallas Middle Ground. We’re passionate about making an impact that goes beyond our walls and look forward to supporting both local and national causes through fundraisers, drives, and more.

Tiffani Kocsis, Owner

Opening a coffeehouse has been a dream since I was a 12-year-old annoyed with the lack of options in the Los Angeles theater district. After twenty years in education as a teacher and administrator, I’m so excited to finally bring my dream shop to life with East Dallas Middle Ground!

I grew up in coffee shops (my first love was Bean Town in Sierra Madre, California) hanging out with friends, getting graduate work done, or just getting away from the chaos of little ones for some quiet. I love the culture of true community that arises when you find your place.

In a lot of ways, it’s the same way I feel about East Dallas. I moved to the area in 2009 from out of state and it quickly became the only place around Texas that felt like home—and it has been at the center of my life since.

My husband grew up just blocks from where EDMG is today. We were married at the Filter Building, had our first house (and baby) in Little Forest Hills and now we live in Lake Highlands with our three kids who attend school in the area. When we aren’t shuttling them to and from tumbling, theater, golf, and track, you can find us visiting our favorite neighborhood spots or seeking out new East Dallas gems (and always with coffee in hand).

My love for the personality and people of East Dallas is deep. I’m beyond grateful for the local folks who have supported this adventure so far… I can't wait to hear your stories and to share this part of our story with you!
